Update 8/27: “until further notice” messages may not be printed in the Enterprise, but on the Beach Dept. website “News Flash”
From today’s Enterprise (8/23):
“As the summer season begins to wind down, the Falmouth Beach Department has reduced services at some beaches, beach superintendent Bruce G. Mogardo said Monday.
Beginning this week, beaches that will be staffed with parking attendants but no lifeguards until next year are Bristol Beach and Chapoquoit Beach.
Stoney/MBL Beach, Megansett Beach and Wood Neck Beach will have no parking attendants or lifeguards until next year.
The following beaches will be staffed with both lifeguards and parking attendants until further notice: Heights, Surf Drive, Good Will Park, Menauhant and Old Silver.”
