SIGN UP/CLEAN UP – PLEASE JOIN LITTER-FREE FALMOUTH FOR THEIR 1ST ANNUAL FALL CLEANUP, DECEMBER 5-6.

Litter-free Falmouth is holding their 1st Annual Fall/Winter cleanup and have asked for everyone’s participation! Here is their invitation as advertised in the November 27, 2020 Enterprise:

How to participate: Sign up using this link. (FYI: Litter-free Falmouth has told us they will provide yellow plastic trash bags, orange safety vests and gloves. If you need to borrow an FHMNA grabber, please email us at cleanup@fhmna.org to arrange for pickup and return.)

When: Saturday, December 5, and Sunday, December 6 (but you do not need to wait, and you do not need to stop on the 6th).

Where: Anywhere in Falmouth of your choosing—Your neighborhood, roadsides, beaches, parking lots, public property, conservation land…Wherever litter can be found.

Who: Yourself; your family members; small, socially distanced and masked groups.

How: Safely. Your safety is more important than any item of litter. When picking up litter, please be aware of vehicles, trip and fall hazards, briars, eye level tree branches and poison ivy. Wear gloves and bright, highly visible outer garments. Inspect yourself for ticks upon returning home. Until the COVID-19 pandemic is over, please maintain social distancing and wear a mask at all times when you are picking up litter near others.

Why: We are 30,000 strong. Who better than us to take the initiative to achieve a Litter-free Falmouth.
