Last week we announced to our email members that the Board of Selectmen (BOS) would be meeting with the Beach Committee on 2/27/17 to discuss beach policies. The published BOS agenda then mentioned only Grews Pond at Goodwill Park.
In anticipation of the Selectmen possibly entertaining a discussion that would include more than just Grews Pond, FHMNA directors Sue Gallagher, Lorraine Luchner, Paula Lichter and Howard Grosser attended the 2/27/17 BOS meeting prepared to represent our members’ ongoing concerns about behavior at the Falmouth Heights and Bristol Beaches.
While the discussion on 2/27 was indeed limited to Grews Pond, there was a clear indication from the Selectmen that neighborhood groups are considered stakeholders and should be included on the committee referenced in the Falmouth Enterprise online article that this committee should meet as soon as possible.
