As has been our post-race practice, FHMIA asked our members for their input regarding the 2014 New Balance Falmouth Road Race. The NBFRR organizers continue to be very receptive of our initiative and Gerry Ryan, FHMIA Road Race Liaison, has received confirmation of the following planned actions:
- for 2015, there will be no increase in the number of race participants
- a ‘trash team’ will be assigned specifically to Worcester Ave. and Court
- to reduce the noise impact on abutting properties, the protective fence at Terrace Gables will be installed during the day on Saturday
- for residents near the finish line, NBFRR will develop and distribute an access schedule to inform residents of the guidelines established by public safety officials
- a ‘captain’ will be assigned to oversee parking on Worcester Court and Ave.
