Little Pond Sewer Service Area Presentation July 12, 2016

The LPSSA forum on Tuesday, July 13, 2016 lasted 1 hour 46 minutes and included both a presentation by Wastewater Superintendent Amy Lowell and several speakers sponsored by the FHMNA including:

  1. FHMNA member and Maravista resident Larry Backman speaking about his personal experience with sewer hookup,
  2. Jay Zavala former president of the Falmouth Chamber of commerce and contract management professional speaking about contract goals, structure and language,
  3. Ed Brablc, FHMNA member and Heights resident, speaking about the $6,000.00 Massachusetts State income tax credit available to primary homeowners in the LPSSA,
  4. Maureen Moriarty, project administrator for Mass Housing’s loan program, speaking about their low and no interest loans for anyone connecting to the sewer system.

Prior to this presentation was the 3-hour Expo sponsored by both the FHMNA and Chamber of Commerce which consisted of 2 dozen exhibitors including contractors, electricians, plumbers, paving companies, septic companies, heavy equipment operators/site workers, municipal financial assistance agencies, and other lenders who were available to answer many individual’s questions.

Hundreds of people attended the Expo and the overwhelming consensus was that the sewer connection process was well explained and the connection itself now easier to accomplish.
