Large Crowd Attends First FHMNA Social

On Sunday, June 12th, The Falmouth Heights-Maravista Neighborhood Association hosted the “Spring into Summer Social” at The Falmouth Yacht Club.  More than 150 guests enjoyed the beautiful Sunday afternoon weather, delicious food and gorgeous views from The Falmouth Yacht Club’s second floor and deck.

Members, their guests, and other neighbors from the Heights and Maravista mixed and mingled to catch up on news, learn more about the FHMNA, and meet Board members in an informal setting.  The Board was well represented by Directors Howard Grosser, Nancy Fay, Paula Lichter, Gerard Natoli, Gerry Ryan, Social Committee members Sue Gallagher, Lorraine Luchner, Debbie Scott and their Chair Lance Kussell.  FHMNA had about a dozen new members as a result of the afternoon.

On display at the event was a “communications corner” with posters chronicling recent accomplishments as well as the ongoing activities of the FHMNA. This information now appears on the our website.  Also available for viewing was the last 12 months of email notices from the FHMNA alerting its members to important town meetings as well as timely notifications regarding issues such as the sewer project and grinder pumps.  Members remarked how much they appreciated this outreach about their neighborhood all year long.  One member stated: “it’s like getting your own local newsfeed in your email inbox.”

A number of attendees remarked that the social was a wonderful opportunity to renew old acquaintances and make new ones.
