On Saturday Dec 4, 2021, FHMNA conducted our Fall neighborhood clean-up in conjunction with Litter Free Falmouth’s town wide initiative.
Eighteen hearty volunteers braved the chilly morning and met on the Heights’ Ballfield at 9am for coffee, warm cider and donuts before setting out for their assigned clean up locations. The volunteers covered virtually all the public areas in The Heights and Maravista as well as most of Grand Avenue, Falmouth Heights Road and Maravista Avenue.
A job well done by this hard working group within a period of about 2 hours. About 12 large yellow bags of litter were collected and consolidated at the Ball Field location, and after notifying DPW of same they were promptly collected by 9:30am Monday morning.
Alan Robinson of Litter Free Falmouth stopped by in support of our effort and has subsequently commented that he was “…quite impressed with the FHMNA organization, volunteer numbers and enthusiasm. Well done.”
