Letter from the WQMC:
The Water Quality Management Committee (WQMC) has prepared a draft update to the South Coast Embayments Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan (CWMP), detailing the town’s efforts to improve the water quality in the south coast estuaries including Little Pond, Great Pond, Green Pond, Bournes Pond, Waquoit Bay (and also including West Falmouth Harbor). This update covers the work of the town over the last five years and recommendations for the next five years and beyond. The document has been presented to the Select Board and is currently available for public comment.
The WQMC encourages the public to review the draft and make comments at upcoming WQMC meetings or through the committee’s email address: [email protected]
A printed copy of the draft report and its appendices is available at the Falmouth Public Library Main Branch in the Reference Room and at the East Falmouth Library. An electronic version of the report can be accessed here. (Ed: This link will open to a town webpage entitled DRAFT Notice of Project Change Update8-28-19. Click on the link on that page to open the report).
You are invited to distribute this to the members of your association. Thank you for your past and future involvement in the town’s effort to restore our impaired estuaries.
