On Saturday, August 31, 2019, at 10:00 AM, the FHMNA Board of Directors is honored to pay tribute to FHMNA past President, Rod Baltz, by dedicating a memorial plaque in his name. The plaque has been installed on a granite stone at the base of the flagpole on the triangular park at the corners of Grand Ave South, Fairmont Ave. and Wyoming Ave.
We feel it is a fitting tribute to a man who created our bylaws in 1972 and served as a Director for over 50 years.
Rod, a father of five, had a true concern for preserving the quality of life in our neighborhood and ensuring that it continue to be a quiet and safe place for families. He also participated in town-wide efforts relevant to our local neighborhood, such as the Quiet Roads Committee, endeavoring to limit the permitted level of motorcycle and other muffler noise on Falmouth roads.
Rod passed away at the age of 91 on December 15, 2015. See “Roderick Baltz Obituary” online.
Please join us at the flagpole on August 31 to celebrate Rod’s life and feel free to bring a story to share!
