“Proponents of a petitioner article restricting ballplaying, music, drones, large umbrellas and other irritants at Falmouth’s beaches say the proposal is meant to spark discussion of a decades-old bylaw.

“There are people just saying that the beach is a less welcoming environment than it used to be,” said Howard B. Grosser, president of the Falmouth Heights-Maravista Improvement Association and a local business owner.”
