On October 2, 2025, the attorney for SouthCoast Wind submitted it’s required 45-day update to the Massachusetts Energy Facilities Siting Board (EFSB). It included the following statements:
“Please be advised that due to several factors, including the ongoing uncertainty at the Federal
level, SouthCoast Wind has decided not to progress its Falmouth queue position to the new
FERC Order No. 2023-compliant interconnection process (i.e., Transitional Cluster Study), which
is expected to begin on October 10, 2025.”
and
“Importantly, SouthCoast Wind continues to view Falmouth as a potential connection point to
the regional electric grid for its remaining capacity – a second 1,200 MW project.”
