“Shipwrecked” license transfers approved; Casino property sale completed; Hiltz’s Harborfront Motel “Pending”; still no future known plans for the Tide’s Motel.

BBC & Seaside Inn: On Monday, February 1, 2021, the Select Board approved the transfer of the liquor license and two entertainment licenses (Monday through Saturday and Sunday) from the current owner of 263 & 269 Grand Avenue, Falmouth Property LLC, as part of the requirements of the purchase and sale of these properties to a new owner, Alex Khan. Mr. Khan hopes to finalize the sale later in the Spring. The British Beer Company will be renamed “Shipwrecked” and the current manager and many of the existing staff are expected to stay on, creating a continuity of service. Mr. Khan has a long history of summering in Falmouth and his wife is a Falmouth native and graduated from Falmouth High School. Mr. Khan looks forward to creating a new restaurant with a similar menu and more of a “Falmouth Heights” feel.
