FHMNA has recently heard from Sergeant Jim Cummings, our contact at the Falmouth Police Department (FPD), regarding this year’s plans for the Heights and Bristol beaches.
The FPD will have a Civilian Service Representative (CSR) assigned to the Heights area for the summer, beginning shifts on July 1st.
This coverage will be for at least 5 of the 7 days of the week, and the FPD is still working on rounding out CSR staff so that they can provide coverage 7 days a week.
When asked whether FPD will be on alert for the July 4th weekend, to head off a repeat of last years’ “flash mob” situation, Cummings advised: “We have also included planning for the Heights area in the days leading up to July 4th, as well as the days following July 4th”.
