New pay-by-plate parking payment stations are being installed in Woods Hole, just in time for the summer season. The stations, made by Flowbird, will replace the old meters along Water Street, Railroad Avenue, Luscombe Avenue, MBL Street, North Street, Grand Avenue, Robbins Road and Clinton Avenue (bolding by FHMNA).

All the new stations will be installed and operational by Memorial Day weekend, Falmouth Police Captain Douglas M. DeCosta said.

He confirmed that prices for parking will not increase and said the outdated meter system was in need of replacement. The cost to park will remain $1 per hour, with a limit of three hours. The new Flowbird parking pay systems will be able to accept payment by credit card, mobile parking app and by text.

Capt. DeCosta said the new parking machines will make parking in Woods Hole more efficient and will encourage parking spaces to turn over. He said the maximum time for parking is three hours.

Additional information was posted on Falmouth Patch:

“Installation of new parking pay stations has begun in Woods Hole,” officials said. “During this time we will also be removing the old outdated parking meters. Unfortunately due to updates with the cellular networks the modems were no longer compatible. Once the new pay stations are installed the old meter pipes will be removed.”
