The Clean Up Committee has been closely monitoring the COVID19 and has determined that it would not be prudent to congregate as a group and undertake a neighborhood clean-up on April 25th.
Options considered:
~ Cancel this year’s event. (Not the best solution for the neighborhood)
~ Postpone event. (Later date may face the growth of Poison Ivy / Ticks)
Alternative proposal:
The Committee has proposed that volunteers undertake clean-up efforts independently over the course of the month of April at their convenience. The Committee will be contacting those who have already volunteered and assign a street(s) requiring attention. Grabbers, gloves, and bags will be provided if needed.
If you are interested in participating and have not yet already volunteered, please contact the committee at cleanup@fhmna.org and include your name / address / cell or home phone number and one of the event organizers will contact you.
Those who have attended this event in the past have very much enjoyed the outing and comradery in fulfilling the neighborhood beautification and environmental goals of our mission. It is the committee’s full intention to return this to an annual one-day event in the future, however this year to “err on the side of caution” in the best interest of all concerned.
