Although this is about a facility that is technically outside of our Focus Area, the FHMNA Board would like you all to know about a proposed project for improvements to the Falmouth Marine on Scranton Avenue as we believe this information would be of interest to FHMNA members, especially those who may dock their boats in the Inner Harbor, may walk the area, or may hear noise as the project progresses.Â
We have received the following information from the Captain of Precinct 2 who was contacted by LEC Environmental Consulting, Inc, with offices in Providence and Plymouth, MA concerning the above subject.
LEC is reaching out to the community with advance information concerning the upcoming Falmouth Marine Improvement Project. Â
Falmouth Marine is located at 278 Scranton Ave, just South of the Flying Bridge Restaurant, on the opposite side of Falmouth Harbor just a bit south of MacDougall’s Cape Cod Marine Service.
LEC filed an Expanded Environmental Notification Form with the Massachusetts Environmental Protection Agency (MEPA)Â on behalf of the Proponent for the proposed project. Since the project area is within a 1-mile radius of an Environmental Justice Community, the Proponent and Project Team are encouraged to engage public involvement prior to and during the MEPA review period.
The Project Team prepared the attached flyer (click here) including a brief description of the proposed project and contact information for those who may have questions or comments about the project.
