Good afternoon Dave,

Falmouth Public Works is looking to install a sidewalk along Central Park Avenue adjacent to the ballfield. We are looking to have the installation completed by Mid-June.

The project will include a new asphalt sidewalk along the westerly edge of Central Park Ave / ballfield, new granite curbing, new wooden guardrail, repairs to the existing drainage to remove the standing water, and a full lane width of roadway asphalt on Central Park Ave.

The Parks division is also looking at replacing the park benches in the garden on the south side of Grand Avenue.

Lawrence Lynch is the contractor. They are planning to start the work next week.

Prior to them starting the granite curb installation, Public Works needs to remove the existing degraded wooden guardrail along Central Park Ave and the ballfield in order for them to perform their work.

We are looking at starting the guardrail removal tomorrow and finish on Friday.  (N.B. April 23 & 24.)

When the work is complete, it will be a big improvement to the area.

Thank you,

Peter
