Excerpt: “Residents will have a chance to weigh in on the town’s first comprehensive Beach Management Plan in nearly 18 years at a public meeting on Thursday, January 22. The draft plan, developed by the Urban Harbors Institute (UHI) in collaboration with the town, outlines 33 recommendations to improve beach access, safety, environmental stewardship and departmental operations across the town’s public beaches, including Megansett, Old Silver, Chapoquoit, Wood Neck, Surf Drive, Falmouth Heights, Bristol and Menauhant.
The meeting is set for 6:30 PM in the Hermann Room at the Falmouth Public Library. Residents are invited to review the plan and provide feedback on measures ranging from coastal resilience and dune restoration to beach operations and emergency response improvements.”
