The Cape Cod Marathon organizers are seeking 12-15 volunteers to hand out water to about 1,000 runners at their water station at the south end of Worcester Avenue on October 27, 2019 from 8 AM – 12:30 PM. They would love to have local residents involved all along the route and so reached out to us to assist with this activity.
In exchange, every volunteer will receive one of their hoodies and FHMNA will receive a $500 donation as their token of appreciation for our support. They will provide all the necessary supplies.
We are asking for your possible participation early because they are in the process of finalizing their water station teams and would like to get an idea by July 15 if we will be able to assist with this activity.
If you are interested, please reply to let us know if you are committed to being there or are interested but cannot commit yet at this time. We will email reminders as the time approaches.
The route map can be found on their website. The Marathon is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon and all roads will remain open.
